Jetpilot dry bags, eskies, and waterproof storage are built for jetski, boat, and watersports use — sealed against water and salt, sized for everything from a phone and keys to a weekend's gear. The Venture line covers the full range: roll-top waterproof bags from 2L drysafes up to 50L expedition packs, soft and hard eskies (coolers) for keeping food and drinks cold on the water, and a handlebar-mount bag for jetski-specific essentials.
Roll-top dry bags vs hard eskies — pick by what you're carrying
Roll-top dry bags use a fold-and-clip seal for guaranteed waterproof protection of phones, keys, dry clothes, and electronics. The Venture range covers 2L (phone-sized drysafe), up to 50L expedition packs. Eskies (coolers) are insulated containers for keeping drinks and food cold on the water — Jetpilot's Soft Esky uses high-density foam for portability, the Hard Cooler stays cold longer for full-day boat use. The Handlebar Bag mounts directly to a jetski for tools, sunscreen, and quick-access items. Pick by use case: dry bag = waterproof storage, esky = temperature, handlebar bag = at-hand essentials.
How waterproof is "waterproof"?
Jetpilot dry bags use TPU-laminated 500D fabric with a roll-top closure rated IPX6 splash and submersion resistance — they survive being dropped overboard and pulled back in, but they're not designed for sustained submersion at depth. For diving or extended underwater use, look at marine specialists. For everything jetski, wakeboard, SUP, kayak, sailing, fishing, and beach: the Venture range is purpose-built. Roll the top down at least three times before clipping — that's where the seal lives.
Care and longevity
Rinse with fresh water after every saltwater exposure — salt crystals abrade the TPU coating and shorten dry-bag life. Air-dry inside-out before storing; trapped moisture grows mildew that destroys waterproof coatings. For eskies, drain meltwater after each use and wipe the seal. Replace dry bags when the fabric shows abrasion-through, the roll-top fabric stiffens (sign of UV degradation), or the buckle fails to clamp. With proper care, expect 3–5 seasons of regular use.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take my phone in a Jetpilot dry bag?
Yes — the Venture 2L Drysafe is purpose-built for phones, keys, and small electronics. Roll the top down three full turns and clip both buckles for guaranteed waterproof seal. For action-photo use, a clear-window dry case is a better choice — dry bags are storage, not viewing.
How long does an esky stay cold?
The Venture Hard Cooler holds ice 2–4 days depending on ambient temperature, pre-chilling, and how often it's opened. The Soft Esky is portable but trades insulation for weight — expect 12–24 hours of ice retention. Pre-chill both before loading, and don't drain meltwater (cold water keeps the contents cold).
What size dry bag for a jetski day out?
For a half-day on the water with phone, keys, sunscreen, and a towel: 5–10L. For a full day with food, water, dry clothes, and a first-aid kit: 20–30L. For overnight or expedition use: 50L roll-top expedition pack. Better slightly oversized than crammed full — air space helps the bag float if dropped overboard.
Can the Handlebar Bag go on any jetski?
The Venture Handlebar Bag mounts to standard jetski handlebars via velcro and quick-release straps — fits all Jetski/PWC handlebar diameters. Designed for splash and salt resistance, not full submersion. Good for sunscreen, tools, gloves, and quick-access items kept dry between rides.
